Good way to start off. A Goldendoodle is a cross between a Golden Retreiver and a standard Poodle. There are also different types of Goldendoodles, Such as F1, Mini so on…

Wait… I thought we were talking Goldendoodles, Not Ford trucks. Why are talking about F1′s?

No, I’m not talking about Ford trucks. An F1 Goldendoodle is the first generation Goldendoodle. There are some breeder how also breed other types of Goldendoodles . Check out the chart below

Hold on I’m working on the Chart…

Do Goldendoodles Shed?

Yes and no. Sometimes in waverer coats you will see some mild shedding, but the curlier coats generally do not shed at all.

Are Goldendoodles Hypoallergenic?

There is no such thing as a hypoallergenic dog. People are less likely to be allergic to doodles due to the fact that they almost never shed and don’t have dandruff.

What is the average lifespan of Goldendoodles?

Last I read 15 years. When you cross two pure bred dogs you get a hybrid (not a mut ;) ) you get a healthier dog. The average lifespan of second generation goldendoodles (either goldendoodle + goldendoodle, goldendoodle + poodle, etc.) you loose some of the longevity of life.

Are Goldendoodles very energetic?

Goldendoodles are a good balance between energetic Golden Retrievers, and Poodles who tend to by very calm
